DOCTRINE

All scripture is from a Red Letter Edition King James Version Bible.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of all sixty-six books of the Bible. (Matthew 5:18; Luke 16:17; II Timothy 3:16)

We believe that there is one God (I Corinthians 8:6; I Timothy 2:5) who is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent and exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:4-6). We also believe that God is eternal and immutable.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Matthew 3:17). We believe that He was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), lived among man on earth (John 1:14), died a substitutionary death on the cross to pay the penalty for man's sin (II Corinthians 5:21), rose again the third day showing power over sin, death, and hell (Romans 6:4, 9), and ascended into heaven where He sits on the right hand of the Father ever living to make intercession for His children (Hebrews 7:25).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. We reject the belief that the Apostolic Gifts are for today.

We believe that salvation from an eternal separation from God and an eternal occupation of hell was needed because of man's sin.

We believe that the rapture of the church will take place at a time unknown to man, and before the tribulation (I Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:16-18). Then seven years of tribulation will follow the rapture, and the second coming of Christ will follow the tribulation (Revelation 19:11-16). Finally, Christ's reign for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1-9); and the great white throne judgment will then take place (Revelation 20:11-15).

SALVATION

We have all heard of the various things people are depending upon to have eternal life in heaven. Many believe that their good works will out-weigh their bad works and God will let them into heaven; however, the Bible says in Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us." Others say that no man can know for sure; however, the Bible says in I John 5:13, "These things have I written unto you that believe . . . that ye may know that ye have eternal life." Since it is "not by works", and God wants us to know if we have "eternal life", how can a person know all of his sins are forgiven and that he has eternal life in heaven?

According to the Bible, there are just three truths and one decision every person must believe in and act upon in order to have eternal life in heaven!

THE PROBLEM OF SIN

We have all sinned, or broken God's law!

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23

Our sin disqualifies us from eternal life in heaven!

"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." Ecc. 7:20

"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." I John 3:4

THE PENALTY OF SIN

Sin deserves judgment.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

The judgement is hell.

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14

THE PAYMENT OF SIN

Jesus Christ dies for OUR sins!

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I received, how that Christ died for our sins according the scriptures." I Corinthians 15:3

1.  Christ took the judgement we deserve.

"Who His own self bare our sins in His body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." I Peter 2:24

2.  Christ's work on the cross is complete.

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost." John 19:30

3.  Christ will credit His righteousness to our account!

"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." John 10:4

Christ rose again and was seen!

"And that he was buried, and he rose again on the third day according to the scriptures...After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once." I Corinthians 15: 4,6

ONE DECISION: FAITH AND REPENTANCE

According to the Bible, for a person to have forgiveness of sins and eternal life in heaven, he must:

Admit he is a sinner. Ecclesiastes 7:20

Believe he deserves hell. Romans 6:23

Believe that Christ paid the payment for sin and hell. I Corinthians 15:3

Place all his dependence in Jesus Christ alone to save him from sin and hell! Romans 10:9-10, 13
