ABOUT US
We are a 6 year old Independent Baptist Church situated in scenic Castle Rock, Colorado. You will find us to be a very personable and friendly church. Our services are refreshingly traditional, which allows one to focus wholly on the Word of God and it's meaning in our lives. If you are looking for a church, you will most certainly find Harvest Baptist Church of Castle Rock to be a great blessing to yourself and your family.
PASTOR
Dr Ed Nelson, in a ministry of many years has served in many capacities. He has been a pastor, church planter, itenerant evangelist, and a Bible teacher and conference speaker.
He has diligently worked at promoting missions in the churches in the U.S.A and has served on various mission boards and preached in many countries of the world helping missionaries. He labored in the area of Christian education, having founded and led the Silver State Baptist School in Lakewood, CO., for 26 years. He also served for many years on the Executive Committee of the American Association of Christian Schools.
He became pastor of Harvest Baptist Church in March of 2007. His desire is to lead Harvest Baptist Church to be a Biblical church emphasizing evangelism, holy Christian living, and missions. The church will be characterized by expository Bible preaching, concerned evangelism to the lost, and a traditional type of service.
He and his wife Guyla have five children, fourteen grandchildren and two great granchildren.
